News from the Course April 26

The Green keeper and VC Larry have closed the course for Wednesday due to the wet conditions. I apologise for the late notice.

The course will be open on Thursday and Friday for social play at this stage.

Vice-Captain Larry Kent has inspected the course today to look over the conditions.

Here is his report.

12ml rain fell over night, it’s not looking all that good. Larry spoke to green keeper Nick, vice-president Kim & Director Loretta after they played today.
Holes out of play are still 2/5/9/16/17 & now 7, as it is extremely wet & around the pond slippery. The ladies found it dangerous and I nearly slipped into the pond just on the edge.

So holes in playing order are 1/3/4/10/8/6/11 thru to 15 then 18, this will give us 12 holes for the time being. Green staff are working very hard & a lot of places still can’t cut the grass down enough.

After today’s inspection bare patches, & muddy brown patches on fairways nearest point of relief. 1 club length relief thru the course, as well on greens nearest point relief on bare & muddy areas.

Tee the ball up through the general areas of the course.

NO carts this week as the course is still very wet.

The holes we have in play some have some very wet areas still especially just off the areas 10 & 6 are the worst. 16 is a no go this week. A temp green before the lake on 16 will be looked at on Friday.
Larry will go back out Friday & do another inspection.
