Jamberoo Golf Club Newsletter October 2012

[This is a copy of the printed newsletter available at the club]

WE HOPE you are all enjoying the beautiful weather and are getting out on our scenic golf course. Just a few things to keep you up to speed on events.

Fourth Green

Good news with regard to the fourth green. After much discussion with the Bowling Club we have decided on a three year lease deal with regard to the rental of the fourth green. In this deal, our green staff will be doing the routine maintenance of the bowling club greens. This is due to commence on the 1st Dec.

New Mystery Nine Sponsor

We welcome JUST BATHROOMS [member John Anthony] as the sponsor of our monthly Mystery Nine competition which will be held in conjunction with the 8 Wednesday stroke events [March-Nov, 2013]. The Mystery Nine has been well supported throughout the year with about 50% of the competition field entering, each month.

Supershot is going well with many happy winners. Don’t forget your extra $2 entry fee.

Thrifty Thursday

We have introduced Thrifty Thursdays at $17 all day to encourage more players and possibly more members.

Would you like to sponsor a competition?

The club has been approached by a member seeking to sponsor a competition next year. We would certainly appreciate any other offers. If you are interested or know someone [maybe a business] who might like to sponsor a Saturday or Wednesday competition, please contact Phil Green or David Ransom to discuss details. The sponsorship might be one prize on the day, prizes for each division winner, or any combination you may wish [including event type]. Any support of this nature would be greatly appreciated. As work has already started on our 2013 Programme, you would need to act soon to get your name in. Contact details are philgreen(at)bigpond.com and davidransom(at)optusnet.com.au
