Good luck!

Champagne 9

“Yesterday, Saturday, saw a field of 17 contest the back 9 of the course.

The ‘Clinic girls’ were again out and about collecting handicap cards.

All scores were high, as the run on the fairways is increasing. (Or some would say they are fine-tuning their skills)

The winner on the day was Rachel Kennedy, posting a great score of 21 points, which included fantastic 6/4 on the 16th. 👏 Rachel also took out the nearest the pin (drive & pitch) on the 11th.

Other winners were Sue Paul 20pts, Pam Middlebrook 18pts, Mitch Smee & Kim Oborn on 17pts.

Donna Boyce received the ‘most determined’ prize.

A great day was had by all.

Cheers, 🥂”

News from the Course

Fine shot by Marie.

Oh so close!

Marie Rodgers almost had an ace playing the 13th hole yesterday in the Women’s Vets Hams Day.

Marie Rodgers near the hole on 13.

Great shot and a tap in birdie!

Help the Club by using the ‘Return and Earn’

Want to be a good role model for your children and grandchildren? Then why not use the ‘Return and Earn’ machine at the club to recycle all of those cans and bottles you use. It is an indirect and easy way to impress enviromental awareness on our offspring by being a good example.

Most of us are lethargic when it comes to these types of activities so get involved and perhaps donate the proceeds to help the club.

Why not provide additional support to the club when you arrive for a game at the Roo by arriving with a your cans/bottles and putting them into the machine and donate the proceeds to the club?

Women Veteran’s Hams Day

Another beautiful day greeted the Women Veterans for their annual Xmas party and Hams Day.

Competition was very tight with outstanding scoring achieved in the chase for the hams.

In the end, Rose Sheath was the first Ham winner with a terrific score of 38 points. The second Ham winner was Rhonda Mckinley with 37 points, surviving a 4 way countback over Marie Farrant, Lynne Beringer and Jennelle Anderson.

As is the custom all non-prize winning players received a ball for Xmas from the Lady Veterans Committee.

Everyone enjoyed a lovely lunch, beautiful ham and turkey salad, followed by cheesecake and ice cream. Lorraine’s daughter Wendy and granddaughter Hollie plus Marg Potter helped all the players have a great day.

A note from Lorraine.

Thank you Dulcie and Annette for your lovely sweets. Thank you to my daughter Wendy, Granddaughter Hollie and my friend Margaret for all your help getting the lunch ready and serving it out. Thank you to all who helped clear up.

As this is the last vets day for the year I would like to thank you all for your support and help through the year. I know it is early in the month.

Merry Christmas 🎄 and a happy new year to you all.
