The trees have claimed another victim. Rob Maclean left his partner in a bit of a predicament in last Saturday’s American Foursomes on the 6th hole.
After your round please ensure both you and your scorer sign the card and place it in the box.
Failure to do so leads to the sad occurence of a disqualification.
Don’t let this happen to you as it did on Monday to one of our players. Nobody takes joy when this simple rule is not followed.
Just a reminder that Jamberoo Golf Club rewards special shots by its members.

Jamberoo Members who have a Hole-in-One in an official competition held at the course shall receive 6 Golf Balls plus have the ball mounted on a trophy with the details recorded.

Strong opposition and home ground advantage were to much for our C Pennant team to overcome today with the result being 5-0 to the Links Shell Cove.
The B Pennant came up against Port Kembla at Shoalhaven Heads but found the going tough against the forminable Port team, the end result was 4-1 for Port Kembla.
The highlight of the day from our perspective was Kyle Van Woerkom winning his debut match for Jmaberoo 4/2 against his low handicapped opponent. Well played Kyle.
The White Horse Cup division 2 team played against the Gerringong club at Worrigee Links. In a very exciting match Jamberoo won 4-3.
It came down to our number 7, Peter Young, who withstood the pressure to win the last hole and the match for Jamberoo.
Other winners were Phil Gosling 3/2, Andrew Ransom 6/4, and Rob Young 2up, Rob holing a 10 metre putt on the last to win his match.
Good luck to our Womens Golf Illawarra Pennant teams which start on Monday.
The Gold Pennant play against Russell Vale at Kiama, the Silver Pennant play Kiama at Worrigee and the Bronze Pennant also play at Worrigee against Wollongong.
Play well.
Jamberoo Golf Club is looking for clean land fill to build up the approaches, both ends, to one of our bridges.
We need about 100 tonne.
If you know of anybody who has clean land fill to dispose of please contact our office staff at JGC on 4236 5341.
Thanks.
Well, not actual pricing but how you can access these golf balls.
It has become financially unviable to continue the ‘two for one’ deal allowing members to use their ball credits to purchase second hand golf balls.
Ball credits are to be used for new balls.
You can of course use your trophy account to purchase the top quality second hand balls on offer.
This Friday is Volunteer day.
Volunteers should come prepared for work on the gardens.
8.30 am start lunch provided at 12.
Congratulations to the President’s team who beat the Captain’s team 7/6. It was a close call!
Balls go to all the President’s team:
Lyn Kuskey; Tracey Watson; Jenelle Anderson; MAfie Smith; Gail Rutledge; Margaret Cook; Sylvia Karschies; Leesa Swan; Lieve Stassen; Neen Coffee; Marie Farrant; Rose Sheath; Helen Wainwright.
Hopefully everyone enjoyed this game and learnt a few things about match play.
Good luck to all the pennant players next week for the start of pennants.
The Women’s Committee is asking for all members to vote for the number of players going out in Tuesday competitions: groups of 3 or 4. The ballot papers will be handed out over the next few weeks, so make sure you have your chance to vote on this subject. If you are unable to come on a Tuesday please let a committee person know and you will be given your chance to vote. A record is taken of people who have already voted.
Coming Events
