Trevor Bell Shield Men’s Inter Club Vet’s

The final event for the year was played at the challenging Links Shell Cove course.  We saw a couple of good scores but the majority of the field struggled to score well. At the end of the day, the runaway leaders, Port Kembla, with a strengthened team won the day and retain the Trevor Bell Shield they won last year.

Team positions on the  day, 1st  Port Kembla,  2nd  The Links Shell Cove,  3rd  Jamberoo,  4th  Kiama,  5th  Wollongong,  6th  The Grange, and 7th  Russell Vale.

Overall Final Positions at the end of the competition;

1st Port Kembla,  2nd Jamberoo,  3rd Kiama,  4th The Links Shell Cove, 5th The Grange,  6th Wollongong and 7th Russell Vale

Well done to Ray Orr and Karl Edlinger, both winning a nearest the pin and now sporting a nice new Shell Cove shirt as reward.

Congratulations to all the boys who represented our Club this year, you played well, overall 2nd is a pretty good result, maybe next year we might finish numero one.

Trevor Bell Vet’s Inter Club Challenge

On Monday 22/10/12 ,in pretty miserable conditions, (cold wet & windy) we tried our best at the Kiama Golf Club Course to catch the tear away leaders in this competition Port Kembla. But to no avail as P.K managed to gain a further 11 points on us, and now are 28 points ahead of us,  which means in the final day’s play to be held at the Shellharbour Links Course on thursday the 8th Nov, we will need a small miracle to catch them .

The points table after today’s play, is as follows. Port Kembla 1246, Jamberoo 1218, Kiama 1195, The Grange 1170, Shell Links 1147, Wollongong 1102, Russell Vale 991.

Jamberoo Vet’s Tournament Thurs 28th & Fri 29th Nov 2012

This event is now in it’s 9th year, with entries recieved from as far away as Gladstone in the north to Wodonga in the south and all points in between. This year looks like being another great success, but we still have plenty of room for more players.  Open to all Vet’s members Male or Female with plenty of prizes and novelty events, so get your entries in now.

Entry Fees :-  1 Day $21.00, 2 Days $40.00
