“Success on Tour”

Kay Brennan has had a very successful 3 day tournament at Mollymook on the ‘Hilltop’ course this week in the Women’s Open 2025 Tournament.

She won the individual 36 hole event in Division 2 with 27pts in Round 1, and a hot 40pts in Round 2. Kay
earned herself a new golf bag for this win.
To top-off a great birthday celebration, Kay teamed with Wendy Cutting, a Gerringong local, to win the
Foursomes net in Division 1 on Day 3.
Congratulations Kay!

Late change to Mens Veterans Championship Day.

An additional competition has been added to next Monday’s event with a Stableford event for those who are not keen on the stroke format. This event will cater for vets who don’t want to play stroke, for our female vets who can’t win the Mens Championship but are more than welcome to play and for those non-vets wishing to play.

Cost of the round is $18 which includes a sausage sandwich at the end.

Still a shot gun start. Please inform the starter of your intentions to play either the stroke round or the stableford.

Good luck to all.

Mens Veterans Champion to defend title.

Among the most anticipated events of the year is the Mens Veterans Championship. Defending 2024 Mens Veterans Champion is Craig Foster.

Craig fired an excellent 74 off the stick last year in very heavy conditions but is expecting strong competition for the 2025 title. His consistency over recent months have made him the standout player and the player to beat.

Speaking ahead of the round Craig is looking forward to the challenge of defending his title but expects strong challenges for the title, “Every championship round brings its own challenges, but that is what makes it fun”.

Meanwhile the cagy Col Booth, last year’s nett winner, will again be a factor this year. His recent form has been average but he has been known to lift when the occasion demands.

With the Veterans Winter Medal also up for grabs the question is, will Geoff Reid add this medal to his collection?

It is a shotgun start from 8am, please arrive early to facilitate the start of play.

A special presentation will be made after the round during the trophy presentation and sausage sizzle.

Monthly Medal this Saturday

April Monthly Medalists, John Auguston, Phil Gosling, and Matt Rodgers are set to put their titles on the line as they contest this Saturday’s May Monthly Medal after strong performances in the April round. All eyes will be on their performances as they look to maintain that winning form against a fresh field of challengers.

With a mix of prior Monthly medalists from each grade in the field and eager to add another medal to their collection and others wishing to join the qualifiers for the November Gold Medal round all will be eager to see if the current medalists can rise to the occasion.

[A stableford round will be held for those who are not up to the difficulty of the stroke medal round].
