Unfortunately, there is no free relief from divots on the fairway, whether they are sand-filled or unfilled.
The Club does however have a temporary Local Rule providing free relief from bare areas on the fairways only. This Local Rule does not extend to divots, regardless of whether they have been filled with sand.
Free relief is also available where the ball lies in an Abnormal Course Condition (Rule 16.1 ) which are defined as:
Animal Hole
Ground Under Repair
Immovable Obstruction
Temporary Water
