Player Eligibility
A player is eligible if they are a financial member of a golf club in a category of membership that allows them to maintain a Golf Australia handicap for that club.
Players in a pair may belong to different golf clubs.
Handicap Criteria
The aggregate daily handicaps of each player in a pair must be a minimum of 4 (eg if Player A has a 9- hole daily handicap of 2 and Player B has a 9-hole daily handicap of 1 this pair would not be eligible to compete).
Each player in the pair must have no more than 10 strokes difference in their 9-hole daily handicap. (eg. If the lowest marker’s 9-hole daily handicap is 5, their partner must play off no more than a 9-hole daily handicap of 15). If a pair’s 9-hole daily handicaps are more than 10 strokes different, the higher marker will be limited to a 9-hole daily handicap 10 strokes above the lower marker’s 9-hole daily handicap.
Format
Handicaps will be calculated as follows:
The individual daily handicap of each player in a pair will be calculated using the 9-hole course rating applicable to the tee markers being used.
The daily handicaps of the pair will then be combined and divided by 4 to determine the team hcp.
Tee Shot Requirement
Each player must use at least 3 tee shots during a round & clearly indicate on the scorecard.
Competition Categories
- Men – Two male players
- Women – Two female players
- Mixed – One male and one female player
