Good golfin’.
Wednesday Competition players battle through brutal day on the course.
Wednesday’s competition players were given a true test of golf with tees placed as far back as possible — and in some cases seemingly beyond that! Combined with no run on the fairways, tricky flag positions and gusty winds, the course played as tough as it possibly could.
The winning score on the Just Bathrooms Mystery Nine Day was 34 points by Tom Wright on a countback from Noel Laman, Paul Henderson and Ken Holt. Rob McLean and Richard Bartkowiak were next best with 33 points, while Shane Townsend claimed 32 points to edge out the remainder of the field.
Tom was also the winner of the Mystery nine with 21 points.

Captain Matt.
To help with the smooth running of this competition could please clarify the below ;
The White course was used to seed members into the single match play and used the White tee course handicap. The rules state that players are to remain on the same handicap used in the qualifying round if not reduced. Are players required to remain on the same handicap for the first round to be played from the Blue Tee course and how is it to be managed?
Pat Paris
Your attention to this detail
Pat,
The starting handicaps have been set using the blue course. It is irrelevant which course was used for the qualifying round. If your daily handicap from the blue course falls that becomes your handicap for the duration of the tournament. The competition manager checks and adjusts handicaps regularly. Of course the club expects honesty from the competitors to communicate with their opponent if their handicap has fallen. The starting handicaps will be placed on the Matchplay board along with the rules and draw.
