The qualifying round for the 2026 Mens Handicap Matchplay Championships will be contested on Saturday 16th May in conjunction with the daily event.
The championship will run through the remainder of May and into June, with the finals scheduled for July or August depending on entries.
Qualifying Round
Players wishing to participate should inform the starter, who will record their name on the Saturday entry sheet.
The qualifying round is used to seed players into the Championship draw. The player with the highest stableford score on the day will be seeded number 1 in the draw, the second highest seeded number 2, and so on.
Late Entries
Players wishing to enter but unable to play this Saturday should contact the starter to have their details recorded. These players will be seeded at the end of the draw.
Late entries will close at 5.00 pm on Wednesday 20th May, at which time the final draw will be completed. Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
Handicap Determination
All matches will be played with the benefit of full handicap difference using the balanced handicap distribution method based on the blue course handicap charts.
Players will remain on the same daily handicap that they used in the qualifying round unless during the course of the championship their handicap reduces. In this case, they will play from the reduced handicap for the remainder of the competition.
Play will be from the blue markers.
Entry Fee
The entry fee for the championship is $20, payable prior to the first round.
