Public Holiday Competitions.
In response to member enquiries, it is the established policy of the Club to conduct medley competitions on public holidays.
While these competitions were previously administered as “walk-up starts”, advancements in technology now allow entries to be managed through the Club’s online booking system, which has become standard practice.
It has also been longstanding policy that supplementary competitions — such as Nearest the Pins, Super Shot, Eagles Nest, and Drive and Pitch events — are not conducted in conjunction with public holiday competitions. This approach reflects the operational requirement to limit staffing on such days due to applicable penalty rates. Accordingly, no staff are rostered to finalise competitions on public holidays, and as a result, there may be minor delays in the publication of results to GA Connect and to the Club Result page.
Notwithstanding the above, and in response to member feedback, the Club will trial the inclusion of selected supplementary competitions on particularly well-supported days, such as Easter Saturday, to determine the ongoing viability of this initiative.
Using your phone to score?
Please be aware of ‘dark spots’ around the clubhouse and carpark where your phone may not complete your scorecard as expected.
Always check to see if the results have gone through.
