On Wednesday 11th March and Wednesday 18th March the ‘Just Bathrooms 4BBB Cup’ will be contested over 36 holes. The team with the highest aggregate stableford score across the two rounds will be declared the winners of the Cup.
In the event of a tie, the Australian Countback System will be used to determine the Champions.
The Just Bathrooms 4BBB Cup is one of our prestigious Honour Board events. Male club member teams are eligible to win the overall trophy, and the competition is played on the Blue Course.
🏆 History of the Event.
Over its seven-year history, the event has evolved in format to strengthen participation and enhance its standing within the club.
Originally introduced in 2019 as the ‘Just Bathrooms Cup’, the competition was played over six months, with one round per month. While the concept was ambitious, it proved difficult for teams to remain intact over such an extended period, and by the conclusion only three teams remained in contention.
Past Champions:
- 2019 – Bob Neilson & Stuart Irvine
- 2020 – Peter Francis & Wayne Arnott
- 2021 – Alan Jones & Bob Anderson
- 2022 – Event not played due to course flooding
- 2023 – Wayne Arnott & Peter Francis (first repeat winners) – 224 points
In 2024, the event was reduced to a single 18-hole round in an effort to streamline proceedings and encourage greater participation. The winners were Shane Townsend & David Ransom with 47 points.
Despite strong entry numbers, the one-round format felt similar to a standard team event, and further refinement was considered necessary to restore the event’s Honour Board significance.
In 2025, the competition moved to a two-round aggregate format. The revised structure proved successful, with strong team representation throughout both rounds. Ron Chilby & Joe Neilson claimed the title with a combined score of 87 points.
In 2026, Round 1 will be played on Wednesday 11th March, with the final round on Wednesday 18th March.
We look forward to another strong field and an exciting contest for one of the club’s most valued team trophies.
