This Saturday, Jamberoo Golf Club would like to respectfully remember and honour those members who are no longer with us. We honour their contribution to our Club and the memories they leave behind.
We are playing a 4 person Las Vegas Ambrose with a shotgun start from 7.30. Be at the club from 6.45 to facilitate registration. The early start will hopefully help us avoid any heat wave conditions.
Here are the rules for the day.
RULES FOR Las Vegas AMBROSE COMPETITIONS
1. Teams will consist of four players or less.
2. Each player in the team plays a tee shot.
3. Female players are to use the Gold tees – par 67, Male players the White tees – par 67.
4. The ball considered in the best position is chosen and marked. The person whose ball is chosen does not play the next shot (except for a 2-person team where there is no restriction). Three (3) tee shots of each member of the team must be used and the players’ initials shown on the scorecard in the appropriate space.
All other team members team may then place their ball within one club length of the marked position, no nearer the hole, and play from this position. NOTE: if the selected shot is on the fairway, the fringe of the green, or in a hazard, bunker or rough (intermediate or regular) the ball must be placed within one club length of the selected shot, no nearer the hole, and must remain on the fairway, the fringe of the green, or in the hazard, bunker or rough, (Intermediate or regular). In a sand bunker, the sand may be raked prior to any ball being placed.
5. This procedure continues until ball is on the green where all players get to putt.
On the putting green, the position of the selected ball is marked. All team members may then place their ball within one putter head length of the marked position, no nearer the hole, and putt from this position. Once the ball is holed, no further strokes count.
6. When putting, to save time players may elect to hole out.
7. Handicaps – 1/8 of total of team handicaps; 1/6 for teams of 3; 1/4 for teams of 2.
Do not use phones to score this event. A team scorecard must be completed and signed by a player and the marker and placed in the box after the round. Scores are not to be entered into the computer.

There is the permanent trophy for the winners but no individual awards, as the prizes were distributed at the time of the competition. If you look on the Honour Board you might be pleased to see something special!
