Having been successful in the local qualifying round at Jamberoo in late June, three teams earned the right to represent our club in the regional final at Port Kembla last Sunday, September 28.
- Mixed Section – Sylvia Karschies & Glen Bayo
- Women’s Section – Judi O’Brien & Kay Brennan
- Men’s Section – Garry Miller & Nathan Medland* (withdrawn due to unforeseen clashes with other commitments)
Hopes were high, with a strong performance offering the chance to progress to the State Final in November. That event promises an all-expenses-paid stay at the internationally renowned Bonville Golf Resort, including two rounds of golf, accommodation, meals, and presentation festivities.
Unfortunately, before play could begin the weather turned against the field, with thunder, lightning, and a torrential downpour forcing the postponement of the regional final. A new date will be advised to all participants once confirmed.
