Championship Final Round

The final round will be played this Saturday with a shotgun start at 8 am. Please be at the course by 7.15 at the latest to facilitate the start.

Those who don’t wish to play in the stroke round are to play Stableford – please inform the starter of your intentions.

The cost of the round will be $18 which includes an extra $2 for an extended ball comp.

If players are tied for a gross championship in A, B, or C grade then a play-off will be held after all scores have been processed. The playoff will be held on the 1st and 18th holes and is sudden-death.

The Championship trophies will be presented after the round.

Slow Play raises its ugly head (again).

Apparently there were delays at the start of last Saturday’s round.

It is imperative that you hit-off on time and not early. If 3 groups are on the first hole at the same time then there will be a delay on the 2nd and 3rd tee. This should not arise if you hit-off on schedule. Just because the group in front have hit over Hyam’s Creek doesn’t mean you should hit-off early. Wait for your time.

Groups with early tee times should understand that the speed for the whole field is affected by their pace of play.

Complaints Book.

Did you know that there is a ‘complaints book’ kept near the bar?

Instead of telling the starter about an issue you have seen, write it down in the book. The Captain, the BOD and the Greens Committee look at it regularly and respond to any complaint. This is one of the forums for you to communicate with the Board.
