Minnamurra River Flooding forces Course Closure.

Heavy rainfall overnight and this morning in the Minnamurra River catchment area has caused the river and Hyams Creek to break their banks, resulting in significant flooding onto the golf course.

A photo taken at 11 am this morning from a nearby residence shows the extent of the inundation, with large sections of the course now underwater.

Club officials have confirmed that the course will be closed for the foreseeable future as a result of the flooding.

Historical records indicate that May has often been associated with flooding events and this year has proven no exception.

Members and local residents have expressed disappointment at the news, with many calling it a ‘sad day for the course’ with important golf events needing to be postponed or cancelled.

  1. Do we assume the course is still closed for Monday Vets, an update would assist most of the members

    1. Gary,
No course official has let me know of the condition of the course so I am assuming it is closed still on Monday.
