Mal Garratt Celebrates.
The Australia Day Medley today attracted a good sized field despite the mini-heatwave the weather provided.
Members are reminded that if they are to play on a hot day then they should drink plenty of fluids, stay in the shade as much as possible and wear appropriate clothing and headwear. A wet towel around the neck is recommended.
I hope the several members who had to leave the course today are feeling better.
Apart from the golf 20 or so members helped celebrate Mal Garratt’s 81st birthday after golf today with refreshments and a cake. Happy birthday Mal.

Rumours are that Ron Hewson had some issues with a chair at the party! Friends are still amused by his attempts to extricate himself from the dilemma.
It was great to see our members get together to celebrate Mal’s happy occasion.
Oh so close on 11 today!
Ian Lewis is a renowned sharp shooter on par threes. Today he was at it again on 11.

A pity that Ian didn’t pay the $2 for the super shot entry.
[Its amazing how many times that happens!]
Ian was well contented with the tap in birdie though.
Carts near Greens and Tees.
It was noticed today that cart uses are driving too close to the edges of greens and tees.
Please keep at least 5 metres from the edges. That way the ground around greens will be smoother and fairer to play off and the teeing areas will be improved.
Help look after your course with simple to implement measures.
Hopefully the chair that broke under Ron’s light frame was the one with the broken arm rest
