Welcome to 2025!

Apart from our usual competition prizes and Nearest the Pin and Drive and Pitch contests, Jamberoo Golf Club offers a multitude of other opportunities to win.

Wednesday Bonus Competitions. ****NEW***

On every Wednesday in each month an additional $2 will be charged to enter our competitions. At the conclusion of each month this will be returned as bonus prizes in the last Wednesday Competition. Instead of the usual $40 or $50 you might win $250 instead.

This will start on February 5 with the first bonus prize day contested on Wednesday February 26.

Super Shot.

On most competition days players may elect to enter a special Nearest the Pin Contest, the ‘Super Shot’.

Pay the $2 entry fee, write and sign your name on the entry form and you have a chance to win.

Closest to the pin wins the Jackpot, sometimes more than $100. The hole used will vary throughout the year.

Hole-in-one.

Members who have a Hole-in-One in an official competition shall receive 6 Golf Balls plus have the ball mounted on a trophy with the details recorded and have their name entered on the club’s “hole-in-one” Honour Board.

Eagle.

Members who have an Eagle (excepting a Hole-in-One) in an official competition shall receive 3 Golf Balls.

In Conjunction Four-ball Events.

A small extra $2 fee will be charged for entry into any ‘in conjunction’ fourball event which will be
completely used for awarding competition prizes for the ‘in conjunction’ event.

Oaks Automotive Eagles Nest.

For each Saturday competition round a special nearest the pin is held for Jamberoo members only. Nearest the pin within the prescribed distance wins the jackpot.

Just Bathrooms Fourball Cup.

On Wednesday 12th March and Wednesday 19th March the ‘Just Bathrooms Fourball Cup’ will be contested over 36 holes. The team with the highest total stableford shall win the Cup. In the event of a tie the Australian Countback System will be used to determine the Champions.

Men’s Eclectic Competition:

Each year the club will hold an eclectic competitions at no cost to the participants. The lowest nett eclectic nett score will win the Fredericks IGA Cup. The handicap applied will be one half of the final day’s handicap. In 2025 the competition will commence on Friday 1st of August and conclude on Sunday 2nd of November.

Gold Medals.

During each month’s Monthly Medal the winner of each grade qualifies for the GOLD MEDAL Playoff which is held in conjunction with the November Monthly Medal (the first of the new year)

Golden Putter Award.

During monthly medal rounds note on your scorecard the number of putts that you have taken on each hole (a putt is a stroke taken on a green). A prize is awarded to the member with the lowest aggregate number of putts each month (ties are decided by countback).

During the November Gold Medal Playoff, the least putt winners of each monthly medal will play off for the ‘Golden Putter Award’.

Just Bathrooms Mystery Nine.

In conjunction with 12 Wednesday events a ‘Mystery Nine’ competition will be held. Entry in the mystery nine will be optional and a small $1 fee will be charged for those wishing to enter. Just Bathrooms has sponsored the prizes which will be in the form of 6 golf balls. There will be only one division with prizes given to the best nett score with a countback applying for tied scores.

MATCH PLAY.

Both Mens’ Individual and Team Matchplay Championships will be conducted in 2025 with all rounds from the Blue Course. A Players current daily handicap shall be used for either event.

A Ladies Fourball Matchplay Competition, the Hooker Cup, will also be contested.

Visiting Golfers are welcome to play in all competitions but are ineligible to win a prize in a competition unless 5 of their last 20 games have been played on their home course.
