Doing it for Jarrod – Supporting kids with Cancer.

The wonderful members from Jamberoo and its visitors again showed their wealth of generosity and community spirit that has become synonymous with Jamberoo Golf Club. 118 players played in the charity ambrose event held at the club today, many of them dressed with some yellow apparel to remember Jarrod Lyle who was famous for playing with yellow hats and shirts on the professional golf tours before his sad passing.

In 2019, the inaugural #DoingItForJarrod campaign was launched in honour of Jarrod Lyle, who sadly passed away from cancer in August 2018.

#DoingItForJarrod continues Jarrod’s vision of helping Challenge provide practical support to children and families living with cancer and beyond.

Challenge and the PGA of Australia united to create an annual fundraising campaign that the entire golf community could enjoy to keep Jarrod’s legacy alive.

Jarrod Lyle was a lifelong ambassador for Challenge. With his passing, Jarrod’s gift to Challenge was his wish to raise ongoing funds to support children and families living with cancer.

To honour Jarrod, Challenge and the PGA of Australia united to create an annual nationwide fundraising campaign that is enjoyed by the entire golfing community. This event was played at Jamberoo today and we raised about $250 for #DoingItForJarrod.
