New Foursomes Champions Crowned.
Congratulations to Bernie McGlinchey and Ron Chilby for their victory last Saturday in the Mens Foursomes.
It was a close thing with several teams shooting scratch scores in the low 80’s to give themselves a chance. These included defending champions Peter Francis and Noel Laman, Bill Reid and Joe Neilson with 81’s; Chris Leckey and Anthony Smith, John Anthony and Joel McIntosh with 80’s.
In the end Ron and Bernie fired a 79 to take the title.
Well played.
The nett results were also quite close. Having won the gross Ron and Bernie were unable to claim the nett prizes even though they fired an incredible nett 60.5.
This left it to Bill Reid and Joe Neilson with a 68; Ken Holt and Les Skarratts with 68 too; Brian Aboozaid and Kevin O’Rourke, and Steve Oppert and Chris Goodwin both teams also on 68.

The nett winners were Pete Wheatley and Allan Wight with 65.
